Bordua - Birthplace of Sri Sri Srimanta Sankardeva

Borduwa is the birthplace of Sri Sri Srimanta Sankardeva (1449 - 1568). He was a saint – scholar, social and religious reformer and a very famous personality in the cultural and religious history of Assam. His contributions in the field of literature and religion are now considered as the most vital possession in Assam today. He established many Xotros (Sattras - kind of monasteries), which are now the reservoir of the rich culture of Assam.
At the age of twelve, he wrote his first verse.

Excellent work !
Congratulations Mr. Paras! You have done a great job with these fantastic images, and with Karatala too.
It is only due to the efforts of people like you who feel deeply about projecting the genius of the Mahapurusha to the outside world that the world has come to know about the many-splendored personality of Assam's patron saint-a world figure, without doubt and a Renaissance Man.
How many of us know that the Assamese drama and stage precedes the English by a hundred years (or maybe, even more)?
We salute you, Paras! Keep the good work going.
This post is just to let you know that your wonderful efforts will always be admired.
Congrats once again!
