Dial M for Murder - Movie Review

A great Hitchcock movie!!! undoubtly genius in thriller and a brave director who can dare to shoot the whole movie in just one room and still grab the attention of audience till the end. Usually directors want to spread up the stage play to many locations to give it a variety. I am sure while making the movie, Hitchcock was very confident about his capability to keep the audience' interest at the same pace till the show downs it curtain.

Well a very dramatic thriller and all the characters were up to the mark. Ray Milland who plans his wife (Grace Kelly) murder and was almost successful, when this smart inspector John Williams spoils the plan. John Williams who plays his role perfect and comes with the comic relief, which he was supposed to. The best part, which I liked, was the scene when Milland blackmails his old friend and compels him to murder his wife. Robert Cummings, Grace's lover didn’t have much to perform but justified whatever role he got.

As a whole a must watch for Hitchcock fans and thriller lovers.
